Working with Bit & Byte Lab
Who we are, how projects start and what happens after launch.
What does Bit & Byte Lab do?
Bit & Byte Lab is a software engineering company. We build and run custom business systems, web platforms, SaaS products, automation and applied AI, including three products of our own. Mobile apps, UI/UX design and CloudOps support that work, and we offer SEO, content and social media as secondary services for clients whose platforms we build.
Where is Bit & Byte Lab based?
Bit & Byte Lab Ltd was founded in 2019 and is registered in England and Wales, Company Number 16104230, with a registered address in East Ham, London. Our team of 10 works from Gujranwala, Pakistan, and we work with clients remotely.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. We work remotely, with working hours that overlap with the UK, Europe and the Gulf. Our own Faatura Cloud product, for example, is built for businesses in the UAE.
How does project discovery work?
It starts with a conversation, or a brief from the project assistant on this site, about your business, your users and the problem to solve. We then map the process and agree scope, priorities and technology before any development starts.
How do estimates work?
Cost depends on scope: the number of features, users and integrations, and how complex your business rules are. We don’t publish fixed prices because every system is different. After discovery we give you an estimate and a phased plan, so you can start with the part that delivers value first.
How long does a typical project take?
A focused tool is far quicker than a multi-module platform, so timelines depend on scope. We agree a realistic plan before development and deliver in stages, so you get a working first version early and add to it.
Existing systems and teams
Taking over, fixing and extending software that already exists.
Can you take over an existing software project?
Yes. We review the code, the infrastructure and how releases are made, stabilise what is there, then improve or replace it in stages. For Elliott Wave Forecast we replaced a legacy membership system with a custom Laravel platform connected to the client’s existing WordPress site.
Can you fix or modernise an existing application?
Yes, for web platforms and mobile apps. We fix what is urgent first, then modernise in stages so the business keeps running. For mobile apps built with Flutter we can usually take over directly; for other technologies we’ll tell you honestly after a review whether we are the right team.
Do you build systems from scratch?
Yes. Sublime Care Cloud, our modular ERP, and the academic management system we built for Quaid-e-Azam Medical College were both built from the ground up.
Can you work with our existing development team?
Yes. Through our nearshore and offshore models, our developers join your planning, tools and releases, or we take on a defined part of the system alongside your team.
Do you provide ongoing engineering and support?
Yes. We host, maintain and improve the systems we build, including updates, fixes, security patches and new features. We continue to develop the Elliott Wave Forecast platform after launch, for example.
Can you integrate with our existing ERP, CRM or other software?
Usually, yes, through APIs, webhooks or scheduled jobs. The Elliott Wave Forecast platform, for example, keeps Zoho Campaigns, ActiveCampaign and FirstPromoter in sync and works alongside the existing WordPress site.
Technology, AI and cost
What we build with, and how we use AI.
What technologies do you work with?
We build with .NET 8, ASP.NET Core and EF Core, Angular, Flutter, PHP and Laravel, backed by SQL Server and MySQL. For websites and online stores we use WordPress, WooCommerce and Magento. We run applications on Linux servers and can deploy self-hosted AI models.
Who owns the source code?
Bit & Byte Lab owns the source code of its own products, such as Sublime Care Cloud. For a system we build for a client, code ownership is set out in the project agreement before work starts.
Can AI solutions be self-hosted?
Yes, where it makes sense. We run open-source language models on our own servers, including the project assistant on this website. Self-hosting keeps prompts and data on private servers but needs capable hardware and maintenance, so we compare it with hosted models for each task.
Can you add AI to our existing software?
Often, yes. We add assistants, information extraction and AI steps in workflows where they save real time, with a person reviewing what matters.
Can you build a custom ERP or SaaS platform?
Yes. Our own Sublime Care Cloud is a multi-tenant modular ERP with applications for education, accounting, HR and payroll, and health and nutrition. Its forms, tables and permissions are driven by metadata. We bring the same approach to client platforms.
Do you build e-commerce websites?
Yes, on WooCommerce and Magento, extended with the reporting, filtering and integrations a business needs, such as the profit and customer reports we built for Zuriyat Foods.
Can you help with SEO and digital marketing?
As a supporting service for sites and stores we build. Because we understand the platform underneath, technical SEO, page speed and structured content are handled in the code alongside the marketing.
