The idea
A grocery list app that does more than hold a list
Grocery shopping usually means a list in one place, recipes in another and nutrition information nowhere at all.
We set out to build a grocery list app that sorts items the way a shop is laid out, turns recipes into lists, shows what each item contains and keeps a household on the same list in real time.
It had to be free, with no ads, and keep users’ data on our own servers.

What we built
Three parts of one product: the app, the website and the admin behind them.
Flutter app on Google Play
Lists grouped by aisle, bought versus to-buy, Urdu item names, and it works offline and syncs across devices.
Recipes become groceries
Paste any recipe link, AI matches it to real items, and servings scale the quantities automatically.
Nutrition facts
Calories and macro charts for every item, to help users make healthier choices.
Shared lists and reminders
Invite family by email or WhatsApp, see changes in real time, and get reminders by time or near a store.
Website and web app
sublimegroceria.com introduces the app and links to Google Play and a web app for signing in from a browser.
Admin in Sublime Care Cloud
Grocery items, categories, recipes, quantity types, lists and users are managed from a Sublime Care Cloud admin.
Results
A live app with real users
Sublime Groceria is live on Google Play and on the web. Its admin dashboard currently shows 433 users, 253 grocery lists and 1,462 list items.
Because the admin runs on Sublime Care Cloud, there was no separate back office to build, host or secure, and the catalogue is managed in the same place as our other products.

Technology
The stack behind Sublime Groceria
The app is built in Flutter, with local caching so lists keep working offline and sync when the device is back online.
It talks to the Sublime Care Cloud API, built on .NET 8 and SQL Server, which we host and maintain. The website and web app sit alongside it at sublimegroceria.com.
